Major Update for the 2026 Election Cycle
This release delivers a significant upgrade to the PDI platform, built to power campaigns, volunteers, and organizers through the 2026 elections. Core enhancements focus on usability, volunteer engagement, and campaign management efficiency. All related support documentation has been updated with step-by-step guidance to help you take advantage of these improvements.
Completely Rebuilt Dashboards
We’ve introduced fresh, intuitive dashboards designed for clarity and performance across key workflows:

Navigation & Structure Improvements
Menus have been streamlined for faster access to high-value tools and cleaner organization.
Minor menu reorganization to reduce clicks and speed access to core functions.
New shortcuts for directly opening Thematic Maps.
Reorganized menu items:
Dashboard → Reporting Tools moved to Universes/Lists → Count Reports
Dashboard → Data Visualization moved to Universes/Lists → Count Reports
Universes/Lists → Universe Builder / Report Output Configuration moved to Additional System Data Settings

Assignment Map Enhancements: When opening canvassing assignment maps (PDI Turfs or Precincts), campaigns can now jump directly to a color-coded priority map for faster deployment.

Door-to-Door Canvassing Assignment Methods
Campaigns now have more flexibility in assigning turfs and precinct lists. New options include:
Auto-Assignments – automated turf distribution
Select Turf from a Map – volunteers can choose priority areas directly

Events and shifts have been re-engineered for smoother volunteer and campaign management.

Update to the Color Coding in the PDI Connect app
To make your canvassing efforts more efficient, PDI has come up with a new orange color scheme to identify pure not home households. Previously, a yellow icon would indicate that the entire household was marked as not home or the household had a contact id and a non-contact id. Now, a yellow icon would only indicate a partially contacted home. This will make it easier for canvassers to return to orange houses, as they will now know that the entire household was previously marked as not home.
*Please visit the app store to make sure that you have the latest version. You will not need to do this if your device is set to automatically update apps.

Door to Door Canvassing
Resolved a bug where the optional second survey was not displaying in the mobile app.
Resolved a display issue where the "Remove Party Field from Project" was not showing as selected.

Resolved a bug where all browser and dial-in calling data was recording under one caller. The data was being saved, just not under the correct caller name.
