Configuring the Election Day Countdown
Overview
The true strength of the PDI dashboard lies in its flexibility. You can choose exactly which widgets to display and arrange them anywhere on the page, giving you complete control over how your workspace looks and functions.
By tailoring the dashboard to your specific workflow, you can save time, reduce clutter, and ensure that the information you need is always front and center.
There are multiple dashboards for the PDI platform, and each can be customized to suit your needs.
The two icons located on the upper right portion of the dashboard page let you customize the page.
Positioning Widgets
To reposition widgets on the platform dashboard, click on the directional icon. You will notice the widgets wiggle for a couple seconds and have dashed borders. This means they are ready to be dragged into a position you desire. You can click on the same directional icon to save the new dashboard widget layout and exit edit mode.
Configuring the Quick Links and Widgets to Display
By clicking on the gear icon located next to the directional icon, a Custom Settings page will appear with a tab for managing Quick Links and a separate tab for Widget Management.
Quick Links - Each link is numbered by position 1 through 7. Enter the position number for the page you want to open. Don't forget to click Save when done.
Widget Management - Click on the check box for the widget you want to display. The widget position is not controlled from this page. Don't forget to click Save when done.
Note that you can customize each dashboard separately. The Quick Links for the Voter Dashboard do not need to match the links for the Mail Ballot Updates dashboard both for the order in which they appear nor which ones are used. You also do not need to use all slots in the Quick Links. Similarly, each dashboard can have its own widgets.
Please also note that this customization is for your dashboard only. Other users in your organization will be able to customize their dashboards for themselves.
Configuring the Election Day Countdown
The PDI platform features an Election Day countdown that tracks the days remaining until the election. This countdown serves as a central reference point, helping you organize campaign information, prioritize tasks, and manage your team’s time effectively as Election Day approaches.
It is important to make sure the Election Day is correct especially after a primary election. The Election Day can be modified by clicking on the Election Day countdown box on the Home Page.
This will direct you to the General Settings page which contains a field for setting the account Election Day.
Don't forget to Click Save after making changes to this page.
Please note that the election date affects the data collected such as support flags being associated with a certain election, Universe lists that have the Exclude Dead, Moved, Voted, Suppress criterion added, and other outputs that relate to ballot return.
