Introduction
The PDI system allows you to create a Seed List, which can be used as a secondary group to receive your email delivery. A Seed List is usually a small group of people associated with your campaign or organization who would like to receive the email even if they are not in your target universes. You can only add individuals from your People Database to your Seed List. Once a Seed List has been saved, the program will place the Seed List into your Merged List section.
- To access the Create Seed List page, hover the mouse over the Outreach section of the Navigation Menu, click Emailing, and click Create Email Seed Lists.
Creating a Seed List
- Use the Select Source drop-down menu to choose the method you plan on using to create your Seed List.

Contact Universe:
- Use the Select Saved Universe drop-down menu to select the People Universe you want to use to search for People.

People List:
- Use the Select List drop-down menu to select a previously saved People List to use to search for People.

Individual Lookup:
- Use the text box in the First Name category to enter the first name to use to search for People.
- Use the text box in the Last Name category to enter the last name to use to search for People.

Contact Universe:
- Click the Search button.
- In the Search Results box activate the checkbox of each individual you would like to add to the Seed List.
- Click the Right Facing Arrow button, which will move those individuals over to the Selected People section.
- (Optional) If an individual was mistakenly added to the Selected People section, activate the checkboxes for those individuals and click the left facing arrow to remove them from the Selected People section.
- Repeat steps 3-5 until all of the individuals you would like to add to the Seed List are in the Selected People section.
- Use the Name the list textbox to assign a name to the seed list.
- Click the Create button to save the Seed List.
